The house 'Casa Cari' is situated on the seafront of the small fishing village Puerto de la Cruz locally known as 'Puertito', which in turn lies at the southern most tip of the island of Fuerteventura on a peninsula surrounded by the sea in a designated natural park(Parque Natural de Jandia).
This means that the coast and the inner landscape remain unspoilt and untouched by development. Even the road between Morro Jable and Puertito remains sand/gravel for almost 20km.
'Casa Cari' is situated on the calm side of the peninsula, 'facing' Africa's coast. Because the house is southfacing it gets the sun all day long and enjoys undiminished views of the sea from terraces, bedrooms or livingroom. A set of steps leads directly from the terraces to the beach. During periods of rough weather the 'house-beach' may sometimes disappear but you may then use the adjacent beach of the village or others.
'Puertito' a small, sleepy fishing village is very peaceful and quiet. However during holidays or weekends there may be an influx of canarian locals who come to enjoy fishing, beachlife and the local kitchen in one of the village's three bar-restaurants. All this need not effect the tranquility of guests staying at 'Casa Cari' as the house lies in a very protected location where one hardly notices anything else but the sound of the sea.
'Casa Cari' is faced with a sandy coloured natural stone helping to blend itself into the character of the region.
